Canada Pension Plan Children’s Benefit Eligibility 2025
For this CPP Children Benefit, the eligibility rules are:
- The children’s age should be either under 18 or under 25 if the children is in full time/part time attendance.
- The children should be contributor’s natural children or the children should be legally or in fact adopted by the contributor when the child is under 21 or the child who is under 21 years legally or in fact staying with the applicant under the decision making responsibility of the contributor.
- The child gets only qualified if his/her parent or guardian gets CPP Disability benefit or if his/her parent or guardian died and has contributed enough to the CPP.
CPP Monthly Flat Rates For Children Benefit 2025
The children get a monthly benefit based on a flat rate which is annually adjusted based on inflationary data.
- For children who are aged 18 – 25 years and are in full time attendance then they can get a flat rate of $301.77 per month.
- For children who are aged 18 – 25 years and are in part time attendance then they can get a flat rate of $150.89 per month.
- Children younger than eighteen years get a flat rate of $301.77 per month.
