The amount of the Survivors pension is based on the applicant age and how much, how long, the deceased CPP contributor has contributed to CPP. If the survivor is aged 65 years or older, then they will claim for 60% of the deceased CPP contributor retirement pension. If the survivor is aged under 65 years then they will get a flat rate and 37.5% of the deceased CPP contributor retirement pension.
