The celebration of the festival begins from the festival of the dhanteras which will be celebrated on 29/10/2024. On the festival of dhanteras people worship the lord dhanvantri who is the god of health and wealth. On this day people believe that buying new things is auspicious for this day so they buy things of gold, silver, and other metals. 

The next day of dhanteras will be celebrated as choti diwali which is known as Roop Chaudas too. Lord krishan kills the Narakasura demon who kidnapped 16,000 queens of Lord krishna. 

The 3rd day of this festival is celebrated as Diwlai which is a very auspicious day. On 31/10/2024 the festival will be celebrated. On this day early in the morning  people wake up and take a bath. After the worship they come back to the home and make bandarwal with mango or ashoka leaves and flowers. Women of the house prepare traditional sweets and dishes for the worship and family members. Females cleans their home and prepares the rangoli on the floor. After all the preparation females dressed up with traditional dresses. Females do fast on this day and they worship the lord ganesha, rama, goddess laxmi and saraswati. People offer sweets and fruits to the lord and light up the diyas and candles. People are avoiding burning firecrackers due to heavy air pollution and they try to celebrate diwali in an eco-friendly manner. Next day of this festival will be celebrated as Govardhan puja which will be celebrated this year on 02/11/2024. Some people call the festival of Goverdhan as annkutt as on this day. People make goverdhan with the cow dunks and make annakut with the new cops of the session. 

The last day of the festival will be celebrated as bhai dooj on this day all the sisters do tilak on their brother’s forehead. Then they worship the lord and listen to kahani. After that, the sisters do tilak and offer sweets to their brother.
